Today is part two of our visit to Sweden. If Stockholm isn’t on your vacation radar, it probably should be. For us, 3 days in Stockholm was a wonderful introduction to a place we think we might like to return to someday.

We made it a point to try two other food halls besides the very traditional Ostermalms Saluhall during our trip. Teatern and K25 both have a more modern vibe and the food is more international rather than traditionally Swedish. They are both a bit like a mall food court but elevated. Everything is higher quality than just “fast food.”

Teatern Food Hall

Teatern became our favorite. The quality and array of foods was terrific and there was something about the atmosphere that just worked for us. Perhaps it was that stunning copper & glass ceiling. . .  This place appealed to us enough, that we visited twice. Here we tried Korean Fried Chicken and pizza. The pizza was barely “meh,” but the “KFC” was phenomenal. Mr. HomeFree also tried a Kebab Bowl and I tried a bowl of real Ramen (what the vendor referred to as “fully loaded”). Both of these were perfection.

K25 Food Hall

Overall, we enjoyed our experience here too. There were Mediterranean, Asian, and Latin food vendors to pick from (among others). Here we opted for a steak baguette with French fries stuffed inside and super spicy chicken fried rice.

By the way, if you are looking for a food hall experience a bit closer to home, try Gather GVL in Greenville, South Carolina. Read about my experience here.

City Beach and Park Skinnarviksberget

On our last day in Stockholm, we were gifted with an amazing snowfall. Fresh and pure, the flakes floated down. Let me assure you, this was a lot more than just flurries. It was the perfect end to our trip because we had already planned to visit two local parks for the views. Plus, we were wearing brand new hiking boots, so why not give those fellas a little workout?

People who have lived in snowy climates will tell you that a snowfall is much more peaceful than rain because it comes down just as hard, but it’s silent, whereas rain is noisy. Enjoy.
